Zepbound is tirzepatide, approved by the FDA for chronic weight management. It works on two hormones that control appetite and fullness, GLP-1 and GIP, as a once-weekly injection. Mounjaro is the same medication, approved for type 2 diabetes.

Who it is not for
- A personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2
- Pregnancy, or planning a pregnancy
- A history of pancreatitis, until Dr. Munib reviews it with you
What to expect
Nausea, fullness and constipation are common in the first weeks and after a dose increase. They are consistent with the known effects of the medication and usually settle.
Smaller meals and enough protein help.
Cost
Treatment is a fixed-cost prescription visit with follow-ups. Dr. Munib gives you the cost at your appointment, and your pharmacy fills the medication. In-office doses are a cash visit, also brand-name only. We do not offer compounded tirzepatide.
