What lymphatic drainage is

Lymphatic drainage is a slow, light massage that moves fluid toward the lymph nodes. The pressure is much lighter than a regular massage, because the lymph vessels sit just under the skin.

Who it may help

  • A puffy, heavy feeling from fluid retention
  • A gentle, restorative treatment as part of a wellness routine

Who it is not for

  • Active infection or fever
  • A known or suspected blood clot
  • Heart failure or kidney disease that causes swelling, unless your doctor has cleared it
  • Active cancer treatment, unless your oncologist has cleared it
Step 01

Check-in

A quick review of your health. New, painful or one-sided swelling needs a medical check first, not massage.

Step 02

Session

A calm, unhurried session with light, rhythmic strokes.

Step 03

After

No downtime. Drinking water afterward is usually recommended.
